Grazzini Brothers & Company: Laying the Groundwork for Success

In 1920 brothers Frank and August Grazzini, recent immigrants from Italy, began Grazzini Brothers & Company as a partnership installing cement sidewalks. In 1923 they incorporated and added the installation of terrazzo to their offerings. Now, almost a century later, Grazzini Brothers & Company remains a thriving success story thanks to its unflagging focus on client service and satisfaction. And the company has continued to grow and expand under the second generation leadership of Frank’s son, Gene Sr., then the third generation leadership of Gene Jr., and under the current leadership of Gene Jr.’s son, Greg. Today, the company works nationwide installing ceramic tile, terrazzo, stoner, carpet, wood floors, vinyl floors and industrial floors. From snowy Alaska to the sand beaches of Florida, from the beauty of California to the craggy shores of Maine and the states in between, Grazzini Brothers & Company has installed its products in thousands of projects. The company has also worked internationally on projects in Canada, Israel and Scotland. Times may change, technologies, too, but Grazzini Brothers & Company’s adherence to quality craftsmanship, superior service and steadfast reliability continue to be the criteria of the company. The company services commercial industrial clients on large-scale and small-scale projects throughout the nation. In its home territory of Minnesota, the Dakotas, Iowa and Wisconsin, Grazzini Brothers & Company also installs fabricated stone in residential projects. All together, the company’s workforce averages over 150 skilled employees year around. The company employees a dozen fully experienced project managers – managers that have experience in all types of projects from athletic arenas, international airports, medical facilities, office buildings and state-of-the art prototype projects through a full spectrum of disciplines. Grazzini Brothers & Company also has a cutting-edge, fully equipped computer fabrication shop in-house for stone projects. Financially the company is strong, with the bonding capacity, credit, financial strength and prowess to contract and complete on time/within budget major projects throughout the country. Some of the major nationwide projects Grazzini Brothers & Company has completed in the last 10 years include stadiums in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Memphis, Kansas City, Mo., Denver, Houston and Washington, D.C.; airports in Denver, Washington, D.C., Houston, Anchorage, Fairbanks, Fort Myers, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Portland, Ore., San Jose; hospitals in Fort Bragg, Anchorage, Bethesda, Portsmouth and Everett; as well as cultural and governmental institutions in Portland, Ore., Pearl Harbor, Washington, D.C., Omaha, Miami and Pasadena. As a result of its long successful history, Grazzini Brothers & Company recognizes the importance of community and is an active participant in many trade and civic organizations throughout its home territory and nationally. The company’s officers serve as Board members and Presidents of the many fine organizations. Grazzini Brothers & Company has been honored with many awards over the years for the fine quality of its workmanship. The company has been recognized nationally for a number of historic preservation projects they have accomplished. Grazzini Brothers & Company is well into its ninth decade and still moving forward with a planned design for its future.
